Sunday, May 22, 9 am, JTG vs. JMS

This game was fought in seesaw fashion and a true game to have seen. In the first inning Adam and Tim both had singles, but no one scored. Adam was our starting pitcher this morning and had two strikeouts following a walk to start off our game. Rickie of JMS hit a 2 run home run off the scoreboard to begin the game 0-2. Ryan L. walked, but all other batters struck out at the plate. Adam struck out three batters in a one-two-three style rotation with JTG down by 2. At the top of the 3rd,  Adam singled, AJ tripled driving home Adam. Joey was hit by a pitch and on Sean's pop out the runners advanced on an overthrow making the score 1-2.  Following a walk, a strikeout and a walk with JMS advancing their runners on a passed ball, a single drove in another run for JMS. JMS reaches first base on an error while another runs scores. Finally a strikeout ended the inning. Shane walked and Jared starts off the 4th inning with a double. Adam's double drives in two runs and AJ's single advances Adam to third base. AJ steals second and Tim walks to first. Although Joey pops the ball for an out, Adam is able to score on an overthrow and the runners advance. The score is now tied 5 to 5. In the bottom of the 4th, Adam throws two strikeouts before AJ enters to pitch. AJ throws the third strikeout to end the inning. The fifth inning was short and bittersweet where JTG players went down three in a row with two ground outs and a strikeout. JMS fought hard and the score at the end of the inning was 5-7; JMS in the lead. At the top of the sixth inning, Jared singled and Adam doubled bringing Jared home to score. AJ tripled on an error and was able to make it home on an overthrow. Tim singled and Joey made it to first on a fielder's choice allowing for the out at second base. Nick B. singled but the runners were left on base with a pop fly and strikeout where JTG was in the lead 8-7. JMS came into the bottom of the sixth fighting hard with two walks and a strikeout. JMS player Terry singled driving in two runs to end the game 8-9, JMS. Keep positive boys and be proud of your accomplishments on the field and know you fought hard to win.
